Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes in economics lessons by using the peer tutor method.  The method used is class action research (PTK) which is carried out with 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The data collection used is test questions and observation sheets. The results of this study showed an increase in student activities and learning outcomes, namely for student learning activities in cycle 1 by 6.72% and in cycle 2 by 7.72%. Then for the learning outcomes of students in the first cycle, the highest score was 80 and the lowest score was 35 which achieved a completion of 60.87% of the total number of students. In the second cycle, the highest score was 85 and the lowest score was 60 which reached a completion of 78.26% of the total number of students. The increase in the completeness of learning outcomes in cycle 1 to cycle 2 was 17.39%.
