Abstract

This study aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDN 1 Kupang Raya using picture media and teaching aids. This research is a classroom action research (CAR). This study used two cycles consisting of four interrelated stages. The four stages are the planning stage, the implementation stage, the observation stage and the reflection stage. The results of this study indicate that the use of media images and teaching aids can improve mathematics learning outcomes for class V SDN 1 Kupang Raya in 2021/2022. Students become more motivated and active in the teaching and learning process by using picture media and teaching aids. The results of the pre-study showed an average test score of 53.3 with a KKM achievement of 30%. After being given action in the first cycle, the average score became 56.7 with the KKM achievement of 46.66%. The research continued to the second cycle with the average achievement of 75.16 and the achievement of KKM of 76.66%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that "the use of media images and teaching aids can improve mathematics learning outcomes in fifth grade students in the Even Semester of SDN 1 Kupang Raya in the 2021/2022 academic year".
