Abstract

This study aims to improve science learning outcomes through learning with the Numbered Heads Together model with picture media in fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Langkapura in the 2022/2023 academic year. The type of research conducted is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this study were the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Langkapura as many as 21 students. This type of classroom action research is carried out using the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart which contains the stages of planning, implementing actions and observations, and reflection. The data collection instruments used were test questions to measure science learning outcomes and observation sheets to measure science learning activities. The type of data analysis used is qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results showed that through learning the Numbered Heads Together model with picture media, it could improve students' science learning outcomes. At the initial condition, the average student learning outcomes were 59.76 with the number of students who had reached the KKM of 5 students (23.80%). After the learning was carried out using the Numbered Heads Together model in the first cycle, the average student learning outcomes increased to 70.23 with the number of students who had reached the KKM, namely 17 students (80.95%). Improvements were made from cycle I to cycle II, namely at the stage of thinking together the average student learning outcomes increased to 77.61 with the number of students who had reached the KKM, namely 18 students (85.71%). Based on these results, the study was declared successful because it met the criteria for research success, namely 70% of all fifth grade students at SD Negeri 1 Langkapura had reached the KKM. Thus, it can be concluded that the Number Head Together learning model with image media can improve science learning outcomes for fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Langkapura.
