Abstract

The problem in this research is the low learning outcomes of Civics. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes in Civics by applying the role playing learning method. This type of research is classroom action research. The research procedure includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects in this study were the 5th grade students of SD Negeri 14 Pulau Beringin, totaling 22 students. Data collection techniques using observation sheets and learning outcomes tests. The average percentage of teacher activity in the first cycle is 68.75% and the second cycle is 85%. Then the average percentage of student learning activities in the first cycle is 57% and the second cycle is 81.25%. In student learning outcomes, it can be seen from the completeness of student learning outcomes in the first cycle of 68.18% and the second cycle of 86.36%. It can be concluded that the role playing learning method applied to Civics subjects can increase activity and learning outcomes in 5th grade students of SD Negeri 14 Pulau Beringin.
