Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes in the mathematics learning content of multiplication counting operations using snakes and ladders media at SD N 35 Gedong Tataan. The research method is classroom action research with four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects are fourth grade students at SD N 35 Gedong Tataan for the 2022/2023 academic year. The data collection technique uses test and observation techniques. Before taking action in cycle I and cycle II, the researcher conducted a pre-cycle test and obtained the results of students who completed as many as 10 students or 34.48%. The results of the study: after the first cycle of action, the percentage of students' completeness reached 55.17%. Of the 29 students, there were 16 students whose grades were complete or above the predetermined KKM, namely 68. While the students who had not completed were 13 students or 44.82%. After the second cycle of action, the percentage of students' completeness rose to 82.75%. Of the 29 students, there are 24 students whose scores are complete or above the KKM, while the rest are still incomplete. Based on the data above, the use of snakes and ladders learning media can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects, especially class IV multiplication counting operations material at SD Negeri 35 Gedong Tataan for the 2022/2023 academic year.
