PENERAPAN METODE PEMBELAJARAN SNOWBALL THROWING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR BAHASA INDONESIA PESERTA DIDIK KELAS VI SDN 1 BAKUNG

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of class VI students of SDN 1 Bakung, due to the online learning period so that they experience learning loss, a situation where the knowledge and skills of students decrease which has an impact on academic decline. The purpose of this study was to analyze the improvement of students' Indonesian learning outcomes by applying the Snowball Throwing learning method and to describe the application of the Snowball Throwing learning method in improving the learning outcomes of sixth grade students of SDN 1 Bakung. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of four stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects in this study were students of class VI SDN 1 Bakung totaling 28 students. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in student learning activities in the first cycle an average of 7,25 with active criteria, then in the second cycle the average score of activity reaches 8,11 classified as very active. The increase in activity from cycle I to cycle II was 0,86. Besides that, it was also followed by an increase in Indonesian language learning outcomes, at the pre-cycle stage there were 13 students who completed with an average score of 58, the percentage of completeness was 46%. Then in the first cycle there was an increase in 18 students who completed with an average of 75 the percentage of completeness reached 64%. In the second cycle, there were 25 students who completed with an average learning outcome of 83, an increase of 8 points with a percentage of completeness of 89%. Based on these results, it shows that the Snowball Throwing learning method is proven to be very effective in increasing activities and improving learning outcomes for students of class VI SDN 1 Bakung.
