Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve Civics learning outcomes using the cooperative learning model of the two stay two stray type in class IV students at SD Negeri 2 Pinang Jaya in the 2022/2023 academic year. The method in this study used Classroom Action Research (CAR), which consisted of two cycles, where each cycle consisted of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The subjects in this study were 26 class IVA students at SD Negeri 2 Pinang Jaya. Data collection techniques in this study were in the form of observation sheets, tests, and documentation. The learning outcomes indicator in this study is that it is hoped that there will be an increase in Civics learning outcomes for class IV students if at least 75% of students have achieved KKM. The results showed that teacher activity in cycle I was 68.18% and then increased in cycle II by 90.91%, then student activity in cycle I was 62.5% and then increased in cycle II by 87.5%. While student learning outcomes in cycle I amounted to 61.54% and then increased in cycle II to 88.46%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the use of the two stay two stray type of cooperative learning method is expected to increase learning activities and learning outcomes of Civics at SD Negeri 2 Pinang Jaya in the 2022/2023 school year.
