THE CORRELATION BETWEEN STUDENTS’ MORPHOLOGICAL AWARENESS AND STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY MASTERY OF SIXTH SEMESTER STUDENTS OF ENGLISH DEPARTMENT AT STKIP-PGRI BANDAR LAMPUNG IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2021/2022

This research aims to investigate the correlation of students’ morphological awareness and students’ vocabulary mastery of English Department sixth semester students at STKIP-PGRI Bandar Lampung in academic year 2021/2022. The main objective of this research is to know whether there is a correlation between morphological awareness and vocabulary mastery. The sample of this research consisted of 30 sixth semester college students from English Department of STKIP-PGRI Bandar Lampung. The data are obtained through morphological awareness test and vocabulary mastery test. The result shows that there is a strong relationship () between morphological awareness and vocabulary mastery. This means that the relationship between the two variables is positive and significant. Thus, the hypothesis “There is correlation between students’ morphological awareness and students’ vocabulary mastery of sixth semester students of English department at STKIP-PGRI Bandar Lampung in academic year 2021/2022.” is accepted.
