Abstract

The main problem in this research is explained in the following background: 1) the lack of student attention in the learning process is due to the learning process still not attracting students' full attention, 2) the learning model is still not varied and 3) student learning outcomes are still said to be low due to the use of media to facilitating the learning process is still not optimal. The aim of this research is to determine the improvement in history learning outcomes using the mind mapping learning model in class X5 students at SMA Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out collaboratively between researchers and subject teachers. The subjects in this research were class X5 students at SMA Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung, totaling 35 students. Action research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of three meetings consisting of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The instruments used in this research were test and observation sheets. From the research results it can be concluded that student learning activities after implementing the mind map learning model during cycle I and cycle II have increased. In cycle I it reached 66.67% and in cycle II it reached 88.59%. Meanwhile, student learning outcomes after implementing the mind mapping learning model experienced a very good improvement. In cycle I, the percentage of learning completeness was 62.86% and in cycle II there was an increase by obtaining a percentage of learning completeness of 88.57%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that learning using the mind mapping learning model can improve the history learning outcomes of class X5 students at SMA Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung for the 2023/2024 academic year.
