Abstract

The main problem in this study is the low learning outcomes of history obtained by students. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of learning outcomes in history using the cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) learning model in class X FM 1 SMK Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out collaboratively. Action research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of three meetings. The instruments used in this study were observation sheets, written tests and documentation. The results showed that in the first cycle the average score of the students was 72.11, while in the second cycle it rose to 77.33. Classical completeness in the first cycle was 63.89% and in the second cycle increased to 88.89%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of cooperative integrated reading and composition learning models can improve students' history learning outcomes in class X FM 1 SMK Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung.
